Researchers Urged To Post Research Online

The U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) recently urged scientists to allow for the immediate posting of their studies online. The NIH favors the dissemination of important research, especially in an easily accessible format available for the public to view. According to the NIH, since it spends close to $20 billion annually to fund over 200,000 researchers around the world, their taxpayers should have a right to see the research they have paid for. This should come as a relief for the thousands of individuals frustrated with the lack of free health information online.
