Chiropractic Success With Bell’s Palsy

A recent case study documented chiropractic’s effectiveness in a woman suffering from Bell’s Palsy; a unilateral facial muscle paralysis resulting from injury to the facial nerve. According to the case study, the woman was medically diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy. Upon chiropractic examination, the woman was also found to have spinal subluxations (a spinal malfunction diagnosed by chiropractors, often involving the nervous system). Upon receiving chiropractic care, the woman’s symptoms responded favorably. She also made continued improvements during her 6 months of chiropractic care. Researchers concluded, “there are indications that patients suffering from Bell’s Palsy may benefit from a holistic chiropractic approach…”
