Text Messaging Warning

Too much text messaging could lead to injuries later in life, according to the British Chiropractic Association (BCA). Data from the Mobile Data Association (MDA) indicate 1.65 billion person-to-person text messages were sent in the UK during January 2003. With the US population almost 5 times that of the UK, it seems this problem is not only confined to the Brits. The BCA states, “Chiropractors recognize that text messaging regularly, over a long period of time, could cause repetitive strain which may cause both short and long term injuries… exercises should be done before and after text messaging.” In fact, any repetitive motion can lead to injury over a period of time. If you think you might be experiencing repetitive-type problems, call our office today… we can help!
